What happens after I purchase?

Once your purchase is complete, you will receive a confirmation email with purchase information. Depending on the chosen fulfillment method, we will reach out with the appropriate next steps.

What fulfillment options are available?

Two options are available: Pickup and Local Delivery. Pickup is free, and is available in Columbus, OH. Local Delivery is only available within a 30-mile radius of Columbus, OH. It is a flat fee of $50 per order, plus a $5 charge per item.

What happens if I don’t live close by?

Unfortunately, we are only able to offer local services at this time. If you select Local Delivery and do not live (or are unable meet) within the radius, the transaction will be refunded, and your order will be cancelled.

Consignment

What types of items do you accept?

Here at Happenstance Found Goods, we are focused on providing high-quality, well-built, and unique vintage pieces. We typically source from the 40s to 90s, but we are open to other items! Please fill out our consignment request form here if you would like to submit an item for consideration.

Do you buy items outright?

Yes! While we offer consignment services, we are always open to purchasing items that you are interested in selling.

What does the process look like?

If a submitted item is a good fit, we will reach out to you with further information and instructions. A contract will be exchanged with terms and conditions, and must be electronically signed by both parties in order to fulfill the request. Your item will be posted for 90 days beginning at an agreed upon price (subject to consideration).

This price stays firm for a 15-day period. After 15 days, the price reduces by 10%, and this continues through the 90-day period.

How do my items get featured?

Your items will be shared on social media, and placed under the featured tab on our website. Since this consignment process is online only, we regularly participate in ad programs through Instagram, Facebook, and Google, so your items will get as much visibility as possible.

We also offer in-person marketing, and have signage posted in our physical spaces at Eclectiques Antique Mall, and any pop-ups and fleas we are a part of.

Viewings of your items can be scheduled at anytime.

How much do I receive when my item sells?

We take a 40% pre-tax consignment fee, less credit card fees, on items that sell through our website. You pocket the other 60%! You will be paid out within 7 business days of final sale.
